Board of Directors

The Academy's Board of Directors is composed of a broad cross section of the Los Angeles Jewish community and expresses the philosophy of the Academy; establishing a transdenominational platform for the discussion and resolution of governance and policy matters for the Academy. The membership reflects denominational, cultural, gender and economic differences within the Jewish community. It is our goal that all voices be heard in the management of the Academy. The Board operates under a philosophy based upon consensus and the shared responsibility of decision-making between members of the Board and the Administrative staff. This also includes a governance role for the student body. The growth of the AJR, CA is being guided using the same principles that are expressed in our educational philosophy. Every member of the board is committed to this mission and to the governance of the Academy.
